Important Notice for All Customers in The Republic of Ireland

As of the 01/01/2021 we will no longer be offering any insurance products in the Republic of Ireland.

I understand that you may have a few questions and I have tried to answer as many as possible below:

Why are you no longer offering products in the Republic of Ireland?

We are an Insurance Broker based in Manchester, England and as a deal has yet to brokered in relation to how the UK trades with Europe (after Brexit), we have taken the tough decision to no longer offer our range of products in the Republic of Ireland for the foreseeable future.

What does this mean to you?

As you are a current policy holder then your policy will remain unchanged until expiry. Importantly, there will be no changes to your policy terms and conditions.

At expiry you will no longer be able to renew your insurance policy with us and will have to look for an alternative provider.

We will email you at the time to remind you that you will need to purchase an alternative cover.

  1. Do I need to do anything?
    • No action is required at the moment; your policy will just continue as normal until renewal.

At renewal we will contact you again to let you know that your cover is due to expire and that you will need to find an alternative provider.

We may provide you with links to alternative products, but you will not be able to renew your current policy with us.

  2. Why are you telling me about these changes?
    • a) As a customer we are letting you know about the changes so that you can raise any questions you may have by calling our customer services team on 0044 161 772 3382 (Monday to Friday between 9am & 5pm except for public holidays) or emailing us at customerservices@cover4insurance.com.

      b)  To give you plenty of time to find a new provider if your insurance policy is coming to an end.

  3. Why are you making these changes?
    • Due to Brexit – our current Passport to trade will cease as of 01/01/2021 for issuing new or renewing existing policies so in effect we can no longer offer insurance policies in the Republic of Ireland.

  4. Will the terms and conditions of my policy change?
    • No, your policy terms and conditions will remain the same until the policy expiry date. Your policy number & policy documents will all remain the same.

  5. 5) What changes will I notice in the future?
    • You will not be able to renew the policy with us and will need to look for an alternative insurance provider.

  6. Can I still make a claim on my Insurance Policy?
    • Yes, there is no change to your policy terms and conditions. You will just need to follow the claims process set out in your policy documents.

  7. 7) Can I make changes to my Insurance Policy?
    • Yes, you will just need to contact our customer services team:

      Call us on 0044 161 772 3382 or

      Email: customerservices@cover4insurance.com

Office opening times are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (except public holidays)

I would personally like to thank you for being a customer of ours and I’m deeply sorry that, at this time, we cannot continue to provide you with the service you are used to.

I would like to wish you all the best for the future and we hope as a company to return to the Irish market again once the issues in relation to Brexit have been resolved.

Kind regards

Michael Masterson
